Description
This is a 1:12 Scale brick building mixed media for a private collector. The bricks are Houseworks clay bricks, the 2 columns are wedding cake decorations, all the millwork was tablesaw cut. There is no interior, just the façade on a hollow box and skylight roof and lights inside for the windows to glow.

The reason there are no street level front doors is that I built this façade for another project then it was put in storage for many years. It's current place now is in a city model similar to what you see behind David Letterman where you can't see the street below, just imply we're up really high. The client wanted to imply the street was several more stories below the viewing edge without rebuilding the model, so the simple solution was just to build a quick set of windows over the entry doors. The balcony level doors & side-lites above are still original, what's missing in this photo was a concrete handrail balustrade going around the ledge like a balcony. Now in it's final display we can pretend there is more windows underneath it.

I just tell people this used to have a fourth floor, but, that's another story...
