Very interesting design. A strike would vibrate it like a tuning fork unless the very end of it was bonded together. Besides that the grip is actually quite functional. It keeps the hand from rolling awkwardly and gives more for the finger tips to grip like a katar [link] . Very creative! I believe I'll favorite this!

I'm likin the one on the far left. I get a cool katana vibe from it and the handle is aesthetically creative. The ones with the beads are nice, but I'd hate to be sword swinging and catch one of those suckers in the eye

Yeah, I think the beads would go in a real fight. I kinda think of them as ceremonial in a way.

Well they amazing About the logistics... Hitting that swords into enemy's would hurt as hell, couse there nothing to soften the energy of hit. Moreover split in grip make it worse.

well I dont think the hand would go on the split part, but it has no real guard so it is not in the least way practical, just for looking I think. Thanks!

Why oh why did I not think of that approach to handles first...
I just love them all. The red being my favorite of the three. Personally, I'd rock the bead-less black over the beaded black; shows more character to me.

Heh, I'm starting to believe a large majority of creative ideas nowadays was thought of by at least one person before; so I'm sure you may be correct. But in my personal world...you are the first who showed me this particular styling, so you beat me to it
