Description Finished of the sketch. I was happy with the reference I had to do this. I think I'll be doing a few more paintings like this, because it makes decent study work.

Incredible work! What kind of reference material do you use? Do you use models/photographs for your poses?

Thanks yeah I mainly use myself and buy some props to get the pose and metal
looking right. I usually get some cheap armour and weapon replicas.

Yeah, it's pretty much based on the English round heads in the late century

I think the helmet and uniform look fantastic. The fighting stance looks very life-like as well !
