Description Yes, he's running, and yes it's hard to tell. Both his back legs are airborn, and his tail is turning loop-de-loops, so yeah, he's running.

Nice shot! I love how much he reminds me of my monster of a cat. ^^ You have quite a way of capturing these beauties on camera, don't you?

Hehe. I've never seen a domestic cat quite that big, so I guess I'll just have to take your word on that. But thank you for the compliment.

Heh heh! If my kitty was that big, then he'd have wet food ALL the time, weather I could afford it or not...

Did he saw you as a snac?

He saw something as a snack, but I'm not certain what it was (hopefully it wasn't me ). He was running all over the place, and at one point he looked like he was chasing a bird around.

Thanks. I was trying to get him with his front half up in the air, but i guess this is okay too.

What a goofy expression! I like the shot a lot, especially that you can see both back feet :]

Thank you. It wouldn't look like he's running if his back feet weren't visible, so I'm glad you can see them too.

Thank you. I wanted to get him with his front legs up in the air, but since that didn't happen, I'm glad his back legs are in the air at least.

that's wonderful! I love the dark coloration upon him, he almost looks like a sumatran tiger, but the mantle looks to short, but I may be wrong lol wonderful capture!

Nope, you're right. This is a Sumatran tiger (I think Sumatran tigers are the only one that have stripes on their front legs). Of course, I could be wrong too.

Yup. Sumatran/Bengal tigers have stripes in the orange of their front legs. Siberians don't.

Well, I'm hardly an authority on tigers, but I've been trying hard to learn the differences between the supspecies. Sumatran, Siberian, Indochinese, bengal, etc. etc. ....It gets confusing after a while.

X33 I know to tell them apart, but some tigers that are bred in captivity look like different ones...kinda mixed together XD lol

Interesting. I never really noticed that before. I do know that I mistook an Indochinese tiger for a Siberian tiger once before, so you might be right about that.

It's nice shot. The addition of the vine is a good touch and the way you have him by the wall shows such good balance in the overall picture. I love how darkly-shaded orange he is.

robbobert In reply to Salmoyt [2006-08-05 20:42:38 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I felt like I needed the vine in the picture to keep it from feeling too "phony." Not that I think that a little bit of greenery at the top can hide the fact that this is a zoo picture. But I think it helps at least a little.
