Description
Tough though it may be. I'm going to be out of state at a Nat Geo workshop for the next week or so, so I probably won't be online much while I'm gone. Going to Santa Fe for some fun in the sun (or rain, as the weather forecast seems to indicate). In the meantime though, I wanted to upload one of my favorite shots from one of my most recent trips to the Sacramento Zoo. Really a tough shot to get, since this girl was really close to the front of the enclosure. Was battling fencing, composition, darkness, and depth of field the whole way through, but I'm really happy with how this little series of photos came out. Hope you like it too.
Prints up to 30x40" available in the store.

Thanks. Pain in the butt to shoot, but I'm glad I ended up getting it. These extreme closeups are a lot of fun to look at.

The lighting really helped me out with that. She was in the shade, but all around her was in the sun, so the image really sprang to life. Glad you like it.

Thank you. I really enjoy taking these types of portraits, but they can be difficult to get just right. Glad you like this one.

Thank you. The lighting really helped make her eyes stand out. I was very lucky.
