Description
A chance encounter with a big ol' White-lined sphinx (thanks to for identification correction!) Β feeding on some flowers on Canyon Road in Santa Fe last month. Pain in the butt to try to shoot, but I'm pretty happy with theΒ results.

As I told another commenter, I'm turbl with insects, so I couldn't even begin to tell you where to look. You know, except for Canyon Road in Santa Fe.

I know little to nothing about insects either. And my entomologist buddy went back to live over in Delaware. I have no idea why. Something about a PhD and a girlfriend 
I think there might be some on Montana. I have no idea if August is too late to go looking for them or not. But wildflower season seems to be at the same time as peak tourist season so ughhh.Β

I see them every now and again, but they're rare enough that I would be hard-pressed to tell you where. It makes it a fun surprise whenever I do see them though.
