Description Yet another image with the Aggi Enterprise model. Man, things fly along when I don't need to worry about transparency maps!

That's an amazing texture on the planet. Is that a bump map, normal map or what?

I must understand this - please help

Heh - sorry to tease, Steve, but it's an orbital photo, composited. Nothing says realism like reality

I've been doing these Trek images VERY quick, so I've been taking a few shortcuts like this just to get an image out of my head before the call of sleep gets too strong. This series has been a sort of "CG sketchbook exercise" for me.

What - REALITY???

Is it earth - or Mars?

It's actually Earth, though it does look pretty Martian.

Yeah. I think we'll keep it.

(I hope...)

Maybe it will let us stay here. We're like a dog that keeps peeing on the oriental rug !

Yup. And that's the rug that REALLY ties room together!...

That's what I try to go for - fresh angles on a familiar face

great composition, and the lighting is cool, too. I particularly like the reflected light from the planet. I wonder how the planet would look with a little more color/texture variation.
