Description

So... the link to listen to the podcast is defunct. Anywhere I can still listen to your insight of the design of these characters?

I love this version so much
I like how you added the lights under the robotic arms to make them look like tentacles and the wires.
You're clever, bro.

Love the cyberpunk-scifi feel of the design. The technomorphic arms look much more versatile, creepy, and powerful than the classic designs. Also, this way, the observer isn't wondering why cylindrical metal arm segments can bend.

You miss spelled Spider-Man. Awesome design though, but seriously there's a hyphen in there.

seriously are we really having this conversation? lol you need to let that kind of stuff go or become a copy editor for Marvel, cause its just annoying to read that stuff, thx for the kudos but its almost passive aggressive lol

Phantasim-Fan In reply to RobDuenas [2011-02-01 22:22:26 +0000 UTC]
It's not passive aggressive, it's correct. I'm trying to help you that's all. If you misspelled their as thair or something it would essentially be the same thing. Anyhow, I'm a Spidey fan and I feel the need to make sure it's spelled correctly.
That design is sweet though. I love the colours.

In fact that was my first worry, so my take on that is Ben is caucasian and his wife is African-American. He's actually a war vet, but yeah I'll get to it just working on freelance right now.

I went to AI of San Diego, but I didn't learn illustration there. instead I got to fart around with video and 3D for 5 years. Really a waste of time in most respects, truly hope your school is much better, but it goes to show your art will get better if you put the effort into it, noway I could have done any of this in my school system.

Ok, that's just sick. The use of actual tentacles over the metal arms makes this version of Oct look much more menacing. Great stuff

Yikes, this is one of, if not the most unique take on Doc Ock I've ever seen. His figure dwarfed by his exoskeleton/harness emphasizing the cybernetics eating about at his humanity, the glowing eyes, the manic look of the stray cables and the fact that his limbs like more like giant legs for stomping that thin flailing arms for light grabbing. Edward James Olmos eh? Inspired choice.
