I'm a 'wanabee' Star Wars artist - I've never had anything published - so I when I think up a new picture I try to make it something that's original and presents a new take on familiar characters while also demonstrating my artistic capabilities...For this piece I imagined what might happen if the Predator had showed up during Empire Strikes Back in that scene when Darth Vader's telling the assembled group of bounty hunters to go look for the Millennium Falcon. I thought this would be a good scene to add some 'drama' to - because in the movie all we see is the characters just standing there. And I thought of introducing the Predator to the scene as the 'ultimate' hunter among a bunch of amateurs!
The Predator went straight for Boba Fett - realizing that he's the most capable of the group that Vader assembled. And he's serving up Boba's head to Vader as if to say "I'm better than this guy!". The other bounty hunters are all taken by surprise and are only just reacting to what's happened... too late! I think Vader would have known the Predator was there so isn't phased - he's just saying "You're gonna have to clean that up now."
The tagline 'Predator kills the Star Wars universe' is a play on words from Marvel comics' 'Punisher kills the Marvel universe'.
This is an original depiction of copyright characters that I don't own. Star Wars belongs to George Lucas/Disney, and the Predator belongs to 20th Century Fox (I think). This is fan art and isn't for sale or reproduction. It was drawn in Photoshop using a Wacom pad and is a very low resolution version of the original.

Now the bad ass of the galaxy hires the bad ass hunter of the galaxy.Β No more incompetent to stop the empire now.Β But I think Vader would know if there is any thoughts of back stabing though.

Well not sure if I would say unstoppable, but the stakes for the Rebels would sky rocket with that team up.Β And it's not like the Predator is just some Jungle monster, They are an advanced technological race.Β I don't know what kind of fighter jets or what not the predators have, but imagine one going after the Falcon.

I mostly only know what I've seen in the movies of the Predators as I was never really a big fan of the comic versions - and I know their ships have cloaking devices (like the Predators themselves) - which would make a confrontation with the Falcon pretty interesting!

oh just as you said cloacking device i imediatly thought about a fight with Romulans or Klingons.Β A bird of Pray.Β Just so many possibility.Β But I know when in big trouble, Solo is smart enough know when to use his hyper drive.Β Even though he don't like running from a fight.Β still makes one wonder how it would really boil down to.

Oops - sorry for not replying sooner! I thought it was interesting you referred to him as 'Dark' Vader. Could be a 'Freudian slip' - as in many European countries he is actually known as 'Dark Vador' - and I think I've heard that that can be translated as 'dark father' - which, if true, seems very fitting!

It's fine with the time of the reply. It kinda was a bit of an autocorrect thing. However you are correct Vader is German for farther. Except it is also written as Vador or Vater, depending on what region of Germany the person saying it lives in. Dark though is correctly written in some regions of German as dunkle.

They probably wouldn't have anything to worry about because Predators only go for the strongest opponents. This Predator has already taken out Boba Fett - and the others aren't on his level - so they aren't a threat. They might even feel offended that the Predator is completely ignoring them

i so wish they would do a serious AVP starwars crossover it would be very cool to see since a Predator's cloaking technology would be useless against Force-sensitives and to see how a jedi or sith would fare against xenomorphs. i think it would be cool if every two or more issues of such a series took place in different eras of the starwars timeline with the first haveing the Predators setting up a new hunter's world in the outer rim and maybe hunting a old school sith lord and the second a jedi and his or her clones (and battle droids) during the clone wars and then during the civil war vader sends boba fett and some stormtroopers to look for that jedi who they find alive but half insane and haveing gone to the darkside as boba's troopers start getting picked off and maybe the jedi reverting back to his old selfless ways finally dies saveing boba who either kills one of the Predators so they let him go or he survives long enough that darth vader and the 501st show up and save him. and ofcourse more issues could be set in post ROTJ eras like the new jedi order (Predators vs Yuuzhan Vong anyone?) and the legacy era. lol sorry for the long comment awsome job this is amazing i wouldn't have had him kill boba but that is just me. keep up the good work!

Great comment - I'm delighted to see that my drawings have ignited your imagination! I'd love to see some AVP/Star Wars crossovers too (as if you couldn't tell already!) - and I think your scenarios would all work well. I particularly like the idea of Boba Fett impressing the Predators by killing one of them... I'd like to think that they'd see a kindred spirit in him if they ever did meet (and not kill him like in my picture!). If you've seen my latest picture - you'll see that I'm a big Boba fan and have even thought up a way for them to bring him back for the new movie!

I imagine he's thinking 'arrrgh - I'm so scared right now - I didn't even see that happen'... but I drew him with a look like he's turned that scream into a snarl because he doesn't want to look frightened in front of the others. (they're all just doing the same too though!)
