Description This i think is the best photograph of the day, she had shunted down platform 5, maybe to show off, not sure why.

After a couple minutes she steamed up and was off, the amount steam that came out after this locomotive was amazing, i was kneeling down on the platform very close to the locomotive, so i was covered in steam couldn't see a thing at one point.

But it was a great experience, drenched in steam.

This was taken on Platform 7 of Preston Train Station.

Looks great. Too bad we don't have such locos in my country.

I've had an experience such as that with the Black 5 in Man Vic. It's done to clear condensate from the system before the journey out of the station/siding or whatever. It's done each time the locomotive has been stood idle for any amount of time.

And it's either fantastic or annoying, fantastic if your stood at a good enough distance away, and annoying if your trying to video the departure and are stood right in the path of the oncoming clag... as my dad would say "Best of british steam, nothing else, just steam!"

But yeah, great shot.

Yeah it is super, i think what made it better was the fact i was stood on the wrong side of the yellow line.
