Hy everyone! Yes, I know we been through this once, but It's still kinda funny, and I needed to upload something while I'm working on the next chapter of Excidium!

Some peoples have difficulties with telling what gender an Anime character is. Especially when a female character doesn't have breasts.

When someone is telling me that Heinkel is a boy because she doesn't have breasts, I just say one thing. Did anyone noticed that besides Seras no other female character in Hellsing has actually breast? Integra, Rip Van Winkle, Zorin Blitz? It has a simple reasons. It's more realistic this way. In real life not every girl has a body of a godess. In hellsing we can see how badass and attractive normal looking women can be. (except for Zorin, she is kinda creepy)

Another thing, that in an interview Hirano was asked about Heinkel's gender and he said that "I don't know, maybe she is intersexual". Can't anyone actually tell the difference between a sarcastic joke and an actual information. Hirano is an artist and as many other artist, he also has a temper. Even I have temper issues. Once I drawed anime figures in my school, and one of my classmates asked about one of my characters what gender it is. I felt a bit insulted, so I just said: "Oh, I don't knooow, maybe it's a shemale!" I hoped that he'll understand the irony in my voice...

And an other thing. Heinkel is voiced by a woman. (in japanese version) And that is what counts. In English version the transalators used a Female voice actress for Schrödinger, so that source of information can't be trusted everytime. I just hope when it comes to the next OVA they will use the right voice for them.
