Just some random idiocy I did the other day, when I was looking over a few fanfictions.

Sometimes, I really wonder why some people are writing their stuff as "Hellsing" fanfiction, if they do not want the characters to be faithful to the originals. Of course many writers, no matter what pairing they supports are respecting the original material, by stating that their fanfiction takes place in an Alternative Universe, a.k.a AU-fanfictions. Mostly every fanfiction that doesn't try to continue the original story is an alternative-universe, and because of that, it not a problem if they put in pairings that have no support in the manga, such as SerasxCaptain Hans, SerasxAlucard, SerasxIntegra, SerasxSchrö, Serasx... You get the picture, poor girl is paired with everyone, just because she was designed to be attractive. So is Alucard is paired with everyone. That is not a problem.

But god, her attractiveness is not the major part of her character, she shows a lot of humanity, courage, loyalty, self-respect, the things what makes her Seras, is her personality. And many people are trowing away these parts so they can have the desired outcome with the supported pairing, which is just so annyoing. Changes in each character's behaviour should be explained, presented and logical, if the writer expects to be taken siriously. And writing a fanfiction "just for fun" can be a lame excuse if the same fanfiction was done a dozen times before "just for fun".
