Description I don't remember the last time, I made a fanart for a disney movie. I remember growing up on shows like DuckTales and Talespin. Making a world with Anthropomorphic animals is a very interesting way to make characters more expressive and unique. Zootopia had a nice nostalgic appeal to me, and the great story and the lovable/relatable characters just totally made this movie my favorite of the year.

The first message of the movie about believing in ourselves and fighting for our goals, is great and inspirational, but the second message of the movie, about accepting others and that we must leave our prejudices of other people behind, elevate this piece to Wall-E level of ballsiness from Disney's part. I tell you, I smell an Oscar from a year away. If you haven't seen it yet I urge you to check it out!

The movie itself shows such a massive world that the possibilities to it feel endless. It inspired me so much, that I might do fan-comic for it later. For now, I only got this fanart about a scene that I felt missing. A little spoiler, around the end of the movie Judy Hopps injured her leg. But the next time we see her, it's after a huge timeskip. This pic is just a little idea about the time that was skipped.

So you may have asked, was I hyped for this movie?
No, no I wasn't, I expected a regular Disney movie, with a cute lifelesson on top for the kids.
Was I surprised?
Oh boy, zootopia is really nothing I've ever seen before.

[Update] I felt like I need to give Judy's face and eyes a bit more attention to get them right :3

I am glad to be in that generational bracket that grew up with just super high-quality shows like DuckTales and TaleSpin and Adventures of the Gummi Bears, just really well-written and well-produced shows with excellent artwork and stories.Β

Zootopia took me back to that era in every way, from art style to story and even the architecture of Zootopia kind of reminds me of Cape Suzette a little. I'm sure there were some TaleSpin fans among the creative team behind this film.

I'm glad to see someone who is able to capture Judy and Nick's excellent chemistry and depict them accurately in one of those many back-and-forth moments that are abundant in the film. :3

Problem: In the end of the movie her leg was healed, even further proving that it was months, possibly years between Β the climax and the ending

It was indeed, remember, Nick was graduating the Police Academy. So at least 6 months, maybe 9 or so?

That Zootopia scene just before Judy hurt her leg had me going "Ohhh nooooo!" in a whisper the moment I realized what nefarious series of events were unfolding on screen, with my sister getting the tail end of my realization xD .Β

completely agree with you about zootopia, soooo good this is a world i hope disney will bring us back to vist again, there's just so much that can be done with this massive live breathing world they've made i'd be a shame not to do more to tell more stories here, but only as long as they don't follow they're patter of cheap halfhearted efforts when it comes to they're sequel movies i.e. mulan2 lion king 1/2 ect ect!
even a (high quality) TV show and or books would be grate!
anyways i'd like to say thanks for this little "Deleted Scene" it's spot on and a good laugh and sorry for the rambling, bad habit!
just FYI about a little EasterEgg on the movie poster if you saw the one with a mob of people on the front walking down the sidewalk ect... if you notice a "Zebra Mother and Child" in the crowd look closely at the child he's holding a old school "MICKY MOUSE" stuffed animal!
my friend and i couldn't believe they sliped that in and were dying laughing.

Thanks Yeah, Disney doesn't have a good history with sequals. There are some good exceptions, like Toy Story. I think the big box office will make them consider the quality continuation

I loved the film. It's honestly in the running for a spot in my top 5 movies. And you know what? What I really liked about this was the great story, and the great characters. It was such a good blend. Most films usually have one or the other, but when you have both...you have something truly magical and incredible.Β

Indeed, and not just the story and the characters is what is great, it also does a really good job at presenting it's uniqe and massive universe. There are numerous interesting desings and ideas. It makes an artist like myself just want to see the concept arts. In fact, I think I will buy the artbook that I've seen on the net
