hehe, gotta love the Lanc - such a beautiful machine.
Shame there's only 2 airworthy ones left

I hear that there is a group of CAF members who are acquiring parts of several aircraft, hoping to put together a MK-III into flying condition. If the CAA weren't such sticklers about "aging airframes", there is one, possibly two in the UK that do "taxi runs" that could be made flyable very soon.

Damn awesome stuff! Nice work!
Only think it could use a bit more AA?

Thanks,
Some parts could be smoothed out a little better - I'll have a play in PS and change some stuff

Incredible, brilliant shot! My only question, will you be adding the crew inside?

It does have a pilot, nose gunner and a bomb aimer, unfortunately due to the glass texture / reflections, you can hardly see them
I'll make more of an effort to display them in the next render

Ah, that would explain it! Beautiful render none the less.
Will you be doing one of it dropping the dam buster?

Thank you
I will eventually be doing a Dam raid composite, I'll have to do a few tests to see how it looks in a night environment.

Hmmm moonlit night? I am sure the Lancaster would only have it's cockpit light glow and no other lights, perhaps some faint glow from the exhausts?

Yeah, the Lanc would be pretty much unlit - apart from the sources you mentioned. Making it a moonlit night would be the best solution to get the best exterior lighting on the plane. I'll see what I can come up with
Thanks again!

Thanks - to be even mentioned in the same sentence as that model of the Lanc is a real honour. He's put an awesome amount of work into it (far more than I could ever do), and he's producing a stunning piece.

Love the overall shape of the Lancs, she's certainly very distinctive.
Thank you.
