What a cute bird!
The colours are nice, especially the red around his eye. I think you could increase the saturation slightly to really make them pop though.
The focus seems very slightly off (his pupil doesn't appear as sharp as it should be), but that might be due to the glare on his eye. I like the DOF and bokeh though.
The texture of his feathers and the skin around his eye is gorgeous - very well captured. And the expression on his face is really cute.
I think the composition is lacking a bit though. The crop is too tight - there ought to be quite a bit more space on the right side, because that's the way he's facing, and I think there should be a bit more space on the left too. You could crop the top of the frame a bit tighter though.

Overall a lovely shot. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Hi there. Thanks for the critique. This is the first one I received one so I really appreciate it. I will take your feedback into consideration and I hope you won't mind revisiting this photo once I updated it. Cropping and color adjustment are the aspects that I'm still working on and I'm glad that you have pointed them out. Thanks once again.

Doha Zoo. Sadly, there are other beautiful birds there but they're all in cages.
