This is something I found on 's site that I had forgotten about. I did this back when I lived in NYC (about two years ago), and at the time, this was pretty good for me. The image actually doesn't look that bad, but trust me. If you saw the actual inked page in front of you, you'd be able to tell that I was a serious hack back then.

Thanks a lot, and thanks for the fav! Yeah... the cartoony Joe Mad style of comic book art always looks far more basic and simple, but the curves and line weights have to be a lot more playful with the light source to pull it off. This style of inking is actually my strength, but put me on someone like Romita Jr. and I'm overwhelmed. lol. Thanks for appreciating the difficulty. Your work shows that you understand it, since you pull off some nice linework in your stuff.

Oh, this picture reminds my of watching the 100 top toys on VH1 last weekend, and a little segment called "Cobra Commander's Day Off" where he went around annoying people with stupid pranks (Ie- stealing Destro's lunch). It was great.

That's freakin' awesome. I'd have let there be just a little bit of a line to accentuate the shape of Snake-Eyes' head, but that's me.

This is why you deserve to be with the "big boys". This is hands down an awesome work. Great spotting, nice lineweight, good feathering (something I can't do for shit) and good haloing. Terrell's pencils and your inks..........definately a one-two punch of solid work. Keep it up and can't wait for the Marvel portfolio.
