I own both Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, so I decided to specify that this is my team on Moon. It's not necessarily my dream team, as I could stand to substitute Talonflame for a better fire-type (probably Arcanine) and replace Umbreon with a better dark type or just a better Pokemon.

Primarina: My awesome starter! He (yeah, my Primarina's a dude XD) has a pretty good move set, though it could use some improvement. Used it through my entire play through and fell in love with it; it's moonblast is pretty nasty and it's Z-move, Oceanic Operetta, is pretty deadly (pulled of several one-hit KOs using the Z-move). Only water-type I'd replace it with would be Milotic (I Milotic)

Mimikyu: I didn't catch mine until after I finished the game, so it's better competitively than most of my team. I got it's move set from Smogon. Man, is Mimikyu a good sweeper. Mimikyu is pretty nasty against most Pokemon.

Tsareena: I'll be honest, I HATED her design at first and really couldn't have cared less about her, but I had received a Bounsweet from an in-game trade and used it since I needed a good grass Pokemon to take on Brooklet Hill. I had been beyond impressed with what it's pre-evolutions could do, and when it evolved and learned Trop Kick, ahaha, physical attackers were going to have nightmares about this move. XD
Max out her speed and you're going to annoy everyone who relies on physical attack moves!
-> Nb4, Tsareena fans come at me, I like it's design better now. Also, I really don't want to see what the Pokephiliacs do with this one. >_<

Talonflame: My Talonflame on Moon is nothing compared the one I had when I played through Y, but, long story short, I needed a fire type for the grass totem and I couldn't find a female Salandit, so I just caught a Fletchling and evolved it instead. Unfortunately, it really wasn't that helpful; I felt like maybe it had been nerfed since its debut in X & Y.

Type: Null: I wanted one so badly after I'd battled Gladion; I thought it was the coolest, yet strangest looking Pokemon I had seen. After getting one, I was impressed with how well-rounded it was. It could attack and defend! I used it competitively recently, and I swear this thing was a cement wall or something; no one move could deal with it. Since I went the physical attack route, I was happy to see that it learns Crush Claw when leveling up; a move that may lower the opponents defense which makes it easier for my physical attacking Type: Null!

Umbreon: Am I the only one who feels like Umbreon was nerfed in Sun and Moon, or maybe mine just isn't as great as the one I had on Omega Ruby... Anyways, I found out there was a ghost type totem, so I thought "Hey, I could use an Umbreon!" Uh... yeah, long story short: I got an Eevee to evolve into Umbreon for the Ghost trial, only to find out the totem was Mimikyu... poor Umbreon got pwned.
