Description The room and all the objects were made at a real scale. I worked on this scene from december 2003 until late june 2004. This image took 8 days, 8 hours, 49 minutes and 59 seconds to render.

I used radiosity, caustics (for the globe on the desk) and SSS (for the courtains).

Special thanks to Shademaster and Cinemike for suggestions and critiques during the creative process.

Be sure to also check out the second render .

I recommend you to view the "Making of Digital Morning" page which shows all the images I saved during the creative process.

Pretty F'n sweet i so wish i could do that well done very well done, and i hate to do this to ya but it does say advanced crituque so i'm jsut gonna point out that by the globe the cords to everything when they lay over each other it looks like there not as strong as they really are i mean not even string will lay down over a cord like that it ussually stretches out, if u get what i'm saying, it jsut dosen't look natural right there. But i shouldn't really eb complaning considering i can't even make anyhting close to that.

There is dust at the sides and coming out of the floppy drive. The mousepad is peeling. And those wires just look goddamn FANTASTIC.
This is not your ordinary render. This is incredible. Just incredible.

i like the light. really! i don't know very much about rendering, but i guess modeling all this must have taken ages.
well the time doesn't seem to fit the scene, but that was mentioned before.
was the machine shown preassembled? (just curious ^_^ )

The PC was not preassembled. I picked each component: gfx, mobo, case, blah, blah.

Amazing modeling work, texturing, and rendering. I can't believe a render like that would take so long to get the result, and to think, I may be doing something like this after University. Great work overall, and for that, Fav+ You deserve it.

I'm expected to make such scene's in less than a few days for the most part.
5 months? For 5 months is should look as realistic as life itself.

Final results are okay, but just the sheer amount of time it took to made is rediculous.

Oh my god. Well, I don't really know where to start. First off let me say I have no idea how you can spend so much time on one image. You must be very dedicated. Over half a month of solid rendering with not being able to use the computer let alone the amount of time it had to take for you to design this. Everything is directly on scale. The mouse is a swivel mouse, that's why it looks larger on one end than the other.

Everything is just amazing. The reflection on the mouse gives the appearance that there is an actual room there. I can feel myself sitting at the desk when I look at the picture, this is just an example of how much of a powerful tool proper illumination is. I can't really comment on one thing because it's all perfect. This image is literally flawless.

Excellent Deviation!!! A +fav for this one.
