I saved her as a desktop pony, and I made it so whenever she sees Rainbow Dash, she does her thing and RD does her fast fly as well, so it looks like they're flying together!

I debated adding the vapor cone and color trail. Ultimately I had to decide against it because if your animated .gif is wider than 150 pixels, DA makes it about 5 times harder to actually upload it
But you're right; if this ever does make it into Desktop/Browser Ponies, it NEEDS that lightning trail

Lightning Dust NEEDS to be made into a Desktop Pony...I have Desktop Ponies for both my desktop computer and my Android phone (although my phone is kinda old, like from 2010, so I can only have one or two ponies onscreen at a time or else it lags like crazy,) I love that app, but it badly needs to be updated for season three. And I am a big fan of Lightning Dust...for me she was the only good part of "Wonderbolt Academy," and the main reason I hated the ending of that episode, and want to see her return in a future episode. And even though Dusty is nowhere near as popular as say, Trixie, she does seem to have a small but devoted fan following (I choose to ignore the insensitive bronies who call her a bitch or an evil sociopath, they really upset me,) and I have seen some nice quality fanart of her, mostly in the realm of sprites and pixel art. Like this one!
Also, gotta love pegasi who have their own signature effect trail that forms behind them when they go fast enough...Rainbow Dash is still the original with her Sonic Rainboom, Lightning Dust has her "Dustboom" which is what the fans seem to be calling it, and my newest pegasus OC Midnight Glow gets an aurora borealis trail behind her when she goes fast enough...that's called the Aurora Overdrive, and I still need to draw her doing that :3
