Description
For [link] 's compo. Based on two of his cornucopia of creations: a badass space supervixen and her super robot ninja companion, as depicted in the original work:[link]
Some artistic liberties were taken. Gun is larger, because this is cool.
I started off with good intentions. Even did a little thumbnail pic to try and sort the proportions out, then did it on A3 paper (usually use A4. Makes for less fiddly drawing but is a pain to scan) I went over the pencil in pen and rubbed out the pencil. Again not what i usually do but seems to work relatively well.
The colouring started a bit aimlessly and went completely tits up. Not unusual. Cheated by making it all green.

Nice work, both of their forms look very good, and I really like the dynamic action in this picture. You've got a good sense of motion and proportion in it, so kudos on that. The shades and tones set the mood quite nicely, too.

Pretty much goes without saying in all situations, eh mate?
Surprises like this are why I keep the compy open until the very last minute--there's always someone who's gonna storm in with awesome pic-age like this and add so much to my contest.
I like this a lot man--for one thing that is some tight gun design, and the poses are pretty slick and fill the frame quite well. And the colouring may have gone tits up, man, but I like the all-green effect, actually. Gives it a kind of "seen through night-vision goggles" effect, especially with the shading. Things have a lot of depth.

Thanks man. Yeah, I don't know how I'm gonna pick from this year's crop either--everyone really did amazing work.
Fortunately, one of the prizes everyone esle picks, so I only have to decide once, and I'm cool with that.
