I'll probably try to get into light sources later. I'm not very good at making these, but I was asked to make a current one. You might not get everything in this one so see and seeWith gradient shading I sometimes use 2 different colored gradients of complementary colors. Example being if I'm using a blue gradient, I might use a orange gradient from behind or the opposite direction. I sometimes use gradients to create a light source from a glowing object too if the character is holding or near the glow. Sometimes the gradients have to be made manually especially if you're using SAI. Best way to make them is scribble a color using the marker and using the water tool to smear the color away.

It's easy once you get the hang of it. You just color the whole character 1 color as a base. A clipping mask over that base just prevents the lines from going out of the grey area. You just have to make a layer above the mask and check clipping group in SAI to link it to the grey base. In SAI you can tell if it's connected to the grey base or whatever color you're using by seeing red red line appear next to the layer. To test this out click the clipped layer with the red next to it, and randomly scribble a color all over the place. If the color doesn't go out of the grey then you succeeded in making a clipping mask. After you get that part you can color and keep linking new masks on top of the already made mask to color in layers like you usually do just without worry of going out of the lines.
It's difficult to explain, I'll have to probably explain in livestream or one of yours while you're drawing.

I has a question... Completely unrelated to the tutorial (which helps a lot thank you!) but what would Crome do if some one touched his antennae... Cuz I know most Irkens usually just succumb to the feeling of it, because it's apparently pleasant to them, but what about him? How would he react?

The pleasant feeling is fanon theory. Irkens don't really find it pleasant when the antennae are stroked, when the antennae can be yanked and crumpled without them so much as flinching as shown in the show. However I go with the sensitivity theory so he probably wouldn't like anyone touching his antennae and if they are yanked, might cause him pain.

Okay, I thought I had read it on zimwiki but I guess I might have seen it somewhere else, my memory is never reliable... Any ways, thank you, that question was irking me non-stop, but I was too lazy to go through your gallery for a Ref. on Crome. I know, I'm a terrible and stubborn person, but I thought that's what would happen, 'cause of the sensitivity of course, though I doubt anyone would just go up to him and yank his antennae like "Hey! I don't know you but I'm going to yank on your obviously sensitive antennae, excuse me."

In the Zim wiki it mentioned that the purpose of the antennae are unown, and they listed some possibilities but unfortunately not the pleasant feeling. People only placed that as fanon because they wanted their Irken to feel "pleasure"
I think Xon or some Irken who hated him would yank his antennae xD

I truly don't get why all these fangirls act like serial rapists, honestly, they pair everything with everything, even Dib with Gaz... *shiver* that pairing is so... I mean, I don't want to insult anyone who likes it, cause some people think its sweet, but I'm just not into... Incest...
