Overview: HUNT-57 is the product of many attempts at killing the Hunter, also known as PNTHR-A14. She is the collaboration of both Project HUNT and Japan, utilizing Japan’s AI technology. HUNT-57 takes on a slender, mechanical appearance with a very yellow/gold-like color scheme and bright green eyes. She is a skilled fighter in nature due to the mind within the AI and is mostly prepared for whatever fight comes her way.
Origin: After the first Kaiju was sighted, more and more began to appear in the world. They attacked cities and brought them crumbling down, leaving humanity desperate for a way to combat against the enemy and rebuild their lost homes. This was when the HUNT Project was proposed, a collaborative project that would require the aid of a majority of the world’s strongest governments in order to work. It was a bold project and many thought that such a thing would never work, but then the first HUNT unit was produced.
It went off as a success, HUNT-01 worked perfect as predicted and was able to defend against invading Kaiju and protect many more lives than those that were saved when the military was involved. With the first one succeeding so much, funding for the project went up and so the team went on to build more HUNT units to help defend Earth from the ever-evolving Kaiju threat. The hunters of Kaiju have been born from metal and the research of collaborative minds; humanity seemed finally able to hold back of the threat and might have won the war for Earth. That was until something intelligent appeared.
This Kaiju was mechanical in nature and attacked without notice, leaving almost immediately after. The people behind the HUNT Project decided to immediately track the creature down. Whereas it was hard to track it’s movements due to its random attack pattern, however its territory has been pinpointed to a crash site which most likely tells where it came from. After finding its territory they sent over their best HUNTs to intercept and take care of the new entity, however it was easier said than done as the Kaiju easily outmatched the HUNTs and damaged them near the point of unrepairable. The heads of the HUNT Project had entered a sticky situation where they feared that this was one they could not defeat.
After numerous attempts to attack the monster, the HUNT Project was running out of options and humanity had begun to lose faith once again. The team decided to ask the government of Germany for some experimental technology they were working on, self-learning AI. They’re hopes are that this experimental AI will allow the HUNTs to adapt during a fight, learn its opponent’s moves and get progressively better after each fight. Once it was ready for field testing they sent it out against smaller threats where it performed exceedingly well and the adapting seems to be working, with these positive test results they sent it towards the Kaiju from earlier where it fell and nearly destroyed. Project HUNT asked Germany for some more samples of the AI and help in making the next HUNT, however they had upped the price for their cooperation as they were beginning to put their resources into their own projects. The team decided to turn to Japan, who had similar research in self-learning AI technology, for aid in defeating the Kaiju. Japan agreed to aid them, sending over some of their scientists with the technology and oversee the general design and creation of the new HUNT.
The new version was near-completion when the Japanese said that they should implement human thought into the AI so that it is more effective in fighting and makes the most use out of the AI’s functionalities. After some debate, Project HUNT agreed to this and held a small competition to find the best fighter in whoever came to sign up for it, the success of the whole project would fall into Kate Ashington’s hands. She, out of all the contestants, performed the best and made it the final round of it all where she claimed the victory as her own. Being pleased with the results, both Project HUNT and their co-workers from Japan began to develop the necessary technology to transfer the mind of Kate into the new HUNT unit. Of course, permission was asked of her beforehand to see if this was indeed, what she wanted; Kate was indeed reluctant about giving them permission to basically use her for experimentations. She initially declined their offer, wanting to rather live as a human rather than a walking piece of metal and wires, but after some thought she agreed as whatever happens will be benefitting humanity in the long run.
Within a few months the technology was completed allowing them to transfer the mind of Kate into the AI program which was then installed into the new HUNT unit. She whirred to life, taking time to get used to the oversized and mechanical body and figuring out all the kinks to the mech. Once she was all situated with the body, she was sent out for a few test runs against some low-level Kaiju where she proved that the program worked but the mind was having to figure out what to do with all the information flowing in and so she did her best to succeed despite the flaw. With the test-runs being successful, they immediately prepared her to go after the Kaiju in the next few days. However on the day of confrontation the creature once again got the better of them, they were a natural born hunter and a mere girl with some fighting skills was going against a predator of the jungle. Needless to say, HUNT-57 fell like so many others did before her. She returned wounded and damaged, but the information gathered from the fight proved to be useful to the team. The mind of Kate, meanwhile, had troubles formulating all the information into something coherent for her to understand. Eventually she reached the conclusion that she would have to train not her body, but her mind if she is to ever best the Hunter.

Thanks! It took quite awhile to draw HUNT-57 than I expected. Who knew mechas that are very human-like would be so difficult to draw
