Description Image Details: Unshaded and Detailed

Welcome to the first of my Monster series. For quite some time I've always adored monsters, their designs are unique and are often eye catching so for the longest I can remember I always scribbled down random monsters and creatures in my notebook along with some stick figures. Whereas I've always really drew monsters that were singular and had no real race associated with them I still kept drawing smaller monsters to the side. Now I felt as if it was time to start drawing a set of monsters that existed in their own universe and make a sort of encyclopedia of these things. Now enjoy.

Fun Fact: This monster was originally going to be called "The Gremlin" however I figured that it looked much more like a Critter from the movie "Critters" then any gremlin I've seen. While I still went with making it have reptilian parts I also made it very beast-like to give it hopefully a nice aesthetic.

Information: Critters are a small, reptilian, beast-like monster that mostly reside in abandoned buildings, small caves, and can sometimes be found wandering in the woods. They are known to be tricksters by heart and killers by nature, playing pranks and setting traps for unexpected humans and luring them to a point where they will ambush them and get their fill. However numerous corpses of wildlife and bones of small animals such as squirrels do suggest that they usually hunt animals within their territory and so human causalities are few to none. Still this does mean that Critters within abandoned buildings or those whose homes have been turned into parks or zoos can be more likely to feast on humans as that is the natural food source in their environment. While nocturnal by nature, Critters are known to wander during the day in search of food and scout out potential places for their tricks and traps, often setting them up before nightfall. Although Critters are remarkably easy to kill due to their lack in defense, their agility can allow them to evade capture or death and packs of them can be proven to be difficult and overwhelming. They are considered as a Non-Threat unless in the premise of humans where they are considered as a Threat.
