Description This is loosely based on a drawing I made back in 2002 named "Before I Lose Everything", after a song from the now disbanded Mighty Man and Yuk. But instead of making the same thing, I gave it a bit of a happier tone. Here's the link for the old piece: [link]

The smoke bubbles idea was taken from that time back in 2002 when one of my friends thought that she could make everyone in our group quit smoking by giving everyone a bubble maker. (She followed the logic that we'd be too preoccupied to light a cigarette while we were busy making bubbles.) A few moments later, one of us lit a cigarette and blew smoke into some bubbles. They looked so nice, everyone else lit up and no one was able to quit smoking.

I love the detail in this one even though im not really a fan of smoking its still very very nice

Neither am I a fan of smoking. I actually quit just this year. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. I just find it pretty to draw.

Thank you very much! Glad the color scheme's working. I had this finished a few weeks ago, but the colors were a total disaster and was close to scrapping the whole thing. I just managed to make the colors come together a couple of days ago.

This is gorgeous, I love the colours and all the cityscape details. It reminds me of Thailand for some reason... I'm not sure why. But... this is really really pretty. The end.

Now that I think about it, I think it's warm glow of the city, the skyline, and the low roof with the tree by it. I remember my sister and I took a walk on an overpass back to our hotel one night and we were just a bit lower than the roofs of all the older houses in the city... it looked a lot like this. I think any artist (or anyone) would appreciate the atmosphere there, it's friendly in a rural kind of way, but even in the city.
