Description
This is an updated version of a piece I did way back in 2004 or 2005.It wasn't approved for an artbook I submitted it to.
But oh well. Gotta do better. Enjoy!

Amazing what half a decade of practicing one's craft does for one's skills. Despite the light sources on the lamp and the sun, I seem to be immediately drawn to the girl's face first, and I love how I just expand from there seeing a girl reading a magic book turn into a girl whose entire room is already out and above the city. The different perspectives of the objects really help convey the space and depth of her new surroundings, like those flying books and globs of coffee/tea in her cup
