Description      He knew my brain was dying--that me, as a human, would not stand the poisonings of my own fluids and the dysfunction of my organs. I knew this was going to happen, and I tried to explain it to him: Death is inevitable. Man or machine, your existence will come to an end because nothing of this world will last; there is a time for everything. But the poor machine abducted me as soon as my vitals went awry and sped me to the temple of metal creation, (it wasn't really a temple or place of prayer, but rather a supposed origin of true metal life). He snatched me up even with all my family in the room. I could hear them order and protest, but he had a schematic of a plan in his silicon brain and chose to follow it.

I was scared when I was dying. I wasn't scared of death--I knew where I was going--I was scared of my family remembering me as the inadequate drooling on a bed, brain fried for no known reason. I didn't want them to remember me like that.

At the temple, no one could find Laurence because no human really knew where it was and the only bots actually there were three constructors repairing a line leaking colis fluid. This substance was dangerous for robots. He was fast, zooming to the center of the metal building and pressing a button on a stand. A giant circular crease in the metal floor unfolded to reveal a large pool of bubbling, silvery liquid. I didn't know what it was but it reminded me of the time a robot was hit by a rushing vehicle on accident. The electrical  brains that leaked out of the robot’s cracked head were a similar color.

I couldn't talk but I couldn't stop from thinking, Laurence no! I’m human, you’re going to kill me if I go in there. I was dying anyway, but he would be destroyed if anyone found out. However, he had no intention of stopping. Thirteen holes around the pit suddenly opened and out rose ten-foot, metal poles with jointed extensions that stretched out over the pool’s surface. The end of each one looked as if it were meant for mechanical disassembling.

I widened my eyes, partly from horror and partly because my lungs stopped working. I began to choke and struggle and Laurence wasted no time. My fear grew as the robot placed me on the surface of the strange liquid. I began to panic, I was going to die a burning, painful death while simultaneously dying of organ failure. What was Laurence doing?!

I stretched a trembling arm out to Laurence and he placed a strong, metal hand on my chest. The look in his usually blank stare was almost pleasing. Laurence, please! Seeing how urgent my condition was, he pushed my down beneath the bubbling surface of silver pool. The substance clenched every inch of me with claws stinging and burning my skin off--or so it felt. Used all my will-power in telling my arms and legs to move--to swim--but my body just ignored me the way it had the last 13 months. I felt extreme pain but I also felt energized in a strange sort of way. Something large reached from behind and grabbed my head, a clamp that may have been from the tools above, but the moment it dug its fingers into my scalp, the pain disappeared.

Eternal blackness.

You successfully employed some of the key things that makes good writing beautifully and I applaud you.

Mainly; you have "shown" rather than "told" your story. Instead of dumping tons of information all at once - you progressively revealed things so that the reader had to work for the info. That's what keeps readers interested. I loved the concept as well and the title fits perfectly and is rather clever. Thank you so much for sharing.
