Description
I was thinking about a background story for Split Skies. It might include that the game takes place on a planet that is covered by ice due to an ecological catastrophy. And it's your mission to revert the planet back to its old state by the end of the game. Or something. Damn, I'm really bad at coming up with stories, I need a gamedesigner

Your work makes me think of Phantasy Star IV. Or, I guess, a lot of games from that era. But this in particular makes me think of that game, one of my all time favorites.

Sounds like an okay idea, really - you'd be surprised how many times environmental change can make a great game. Sonic the Hedgehog'd be the most obvious (mechanical pollution versus Sonic's green utopia), Mario Sunshine.. well, it wasn't great but it had pollution... So yeah, go for it. The background itself is looking pretty cool, literally.

Aww that looks so cute! I'm loving the grass and the mountains! although something about it confuses me... I guess the distance between each object... I'm assuming that they're far apart but they look close so... hmmm... hold on while I find some coherent explanation. Yeah I think it's just cuz it's a small pic so it's harder to show the distance between them n stuff. ftkalgjsks I don't know.

My favourite part of this scene would be the rocks on the left. They look great against the sky and the water, adding some good contrast to the piece.
I like the feelling of peace this scene has.
