hope you don't mind me saying this, but the old lady looks like something out of the BPRD comics

Wow, I'm really surprised that anyone would draw Agatha Harkness, let alone have it turn out so amazing. This is totally iconic for the character and you're clearly both skilled and talented.

Well, it was an assignment. I don't think I would normally go out of my way to make a portrait of this character. I honestly didn't even know she exsisted until Dusty Abell told me about her.

Sweet bloom effect coming from the window. The expression on the lady's face definatly has a sense of mystery.
Very nice

Dude, how did you achieve this lighting? it is amazing. I'm a huge fan of Janusz Kaminski, Spielberg's Director of Photography, and you captured a look he is very fond of. Really cool stuff..

Janusz is the best!!! Thanks a lot! It's hard to pull off that kind of look, bucause more often than not, we're looking at moving shots. I would love to make movies. I have so many shots in my head that I couldn't possibly commit to paper.
Technically speaking, this kind of lighting is not something one should do normally because all your viewers focus is guided to the bright windows. But I'm a sucker for back lighting. I use back lighting on almost all my coloring.
Thanks again!!!

Yeah, I agree, I can never look at a Janusz film the same! I only focus on his lighting...
You should look into filmmaking, I volunteer my services every now and then. It's loads of fun.

This is awesome. The carpet and the flowers and the way she's holding the cat... and the folds on her dress are perfect.

I'm glad you can see the cat. It's kind of an after thought. One of the problems that occur while coloring with grey's.

So is this one just greyscale with coloured lighting effects? I figured you'd just put the saturation down low...
