Description
Try to feel.I recommentd the technique. First rey everything with a graphite pen (2b), then smooth it with a sponge and then erase the lights out. THen you add stuff with the epen again, smooth everyything again then erase. The ammount of detail is intrigging.
Its a painting technique.

Start with basic shading practises. Lika a qube with 5 different greytones on the sides and background or such
