I really, really like the new Mickey Mouse shorts that Disney has been putting out the past few years. Seeing that those cartoons frequently feature cameos by various Disney characters, I can't help thinking it would be neat if Max turned up at some point.EDIT: For the record, I did not draw this as some kind of denunciation of the art style of said shorts, which I think suits the tone of those specific cartoons (and it was fun to attempt to emulate) or the shorts themselves; like I said, I really like what Disney is doing with these characters. I just thought it would be amusing to put the two contrasting styles side by side.

What I meant to say was, if Disney can pay some tributes to a lot of people that passed we all love and knew, then they should give tributes to the Kings of Pop and British Rock next.

Personally I prefer Max in how he looked in Goof Troop.

Same here. My favorite version of Max is his kid-self from Goof Troop, although sometimes I do like his older versions.
At least the "new" Mickey Mouse shorts do pay tribute to Goofy's classic appearance.

I like those new Mickey Mouse shorts more than probably anything they've done with the character since I've been alive. And this design of Goofy creeps me out, but, like, in a good way.

I watched An Extremely Goofy Movie most recently, so that was the version stuck in my head. I don't know if I have a preference for Max, but I liked how they updated Goofy's design for the movies to be much closer to his classic look.
