XD yes very true.
It did bother me a bit that whenever Winry saw Ed all beaten up / wounded and all she cared about was that the automail was (obviously) smashed. If it was a choice between my flesh-and-blood body and a fixable/replaceable prosthetic limb, i'd let whatever wanted to hurt me take the limb first. But i do get that it's part of her character and it can be interpreted that Winry cares for Ed just as much as her automail (if not more) but she takes out her inevitable anger on him for something relatively less important than his well-being. I also understand that the automail is an extension of Ed, to a degree and if it was smashed up then it would mean that he had been fighting again, which Winry dissaproves of (understandable, given how she saw Ed after he and Al tried to ressurect their mother and Al had to carry him to her house all bloody and with missing limbs, and then she attatched the automail, and I imagine that such operations - - especially unanaesthetised - can be traumatic for the person performing the surgery as well, particularly if it was for a childhood friend).
Why do i care so much about this? i just do. I suppose it's because i want to be a writer and i'm habitually analytical. :/
