Prints for sale @ Storenvy! [link] I've wanted to do a picture like this for a long time now, as a tribute to one of the most amazing series I've ever read/seen. it's just packed full of so many wonderful characters, lessons, and memories that I wanted to include as much as I could in one drawing. about a year ago I never could've had the endurance to finish something like this, but I'm pretty proud of my improvement since then! that's one of the main things that art school has helped me with, I think. right now I have a few weeks of *actual* summer break in between summer school and the fall semester, so I really enjoyed working on a big drawing like this just for fun. (since I won't have time to do much drawing for *fun* once school starts :/)
I really thought a lot about the composition and colors while drawing this, so I hope it shows. ^^ Ed is front and center, of course. his outfit is based both on the scene from chapter 1 and from the final battle, where is shirt is ripped.
I'll have this as a print for sale at animefest and I'll also have an online store up and running soon if anyone's interested in purchasing one online :]

Oh, I love it! Especially Ed with his awesome manic grin and Winry. (Love the tool belt and grease smears.) And, everyone looks so fantastic and so perfectly themselves too!

thank you! you're the first person to comment on Winry, I'm glad you like those additions. I was trying to make her look more realistic and authentic, not like she was standing over there in the corner just to look pretty haha. xD

Yes! I loved that touch. I don't know how it is with automail, but whenever I work with anything vaguely messy for art projects (charcoal, paint, etc.), I usually have quite a few smudges (most often on my nose for it is itchy).

I love how you didn't try to copy the original style of the manga but went with your own style. I think it works really well, it makes all the poses seem more dynamic. I particularly like Ran Fan, you really can't tell it's a girl hiding behind the mask.

You mention that you will be selling it at animefest which is really awesome, but unfortunately for me I can't go because I don't live in Texas. But if I did go, I would totally buy this.

awh thanks very much! :3 yeah, it just takes a lot of commitment and perseverance to draw big pieces like this xD I almost gave up a few times hahah. but just stick with it and in the end the hard work will pay off!

I wanna say that I'm a fan of this picture, I don't mind if it's impossible. The colors, and everything is ASDHJAKFHA. I love how are Mey, Riza, Havoc, and Scar. And that Hughes and Hayate are ok too. (Everything, I must say) It's a wonderful work, congratulations!

This is awesome!... Have you ever considered making a Manga?... Even if it's just as a hobby I think it would be cool to see a story and character's in your style... Just a thought...

thanks! ^_^ ah, yeah, maybe someday I'd like to do a webcomic or something like that. but mostly right now I'm still working on refining my skills and figuring out what sort of style I like and such, if that makes sense xD but I'd definitely love to do something like that someday, if it works out.
