I'm superfriggin happy with this!
Though ... he definitely doesn't look/suit black metal. I just had to use a character and wanted one that'd work with browns. ._. He reminds me of someone too, but I can't think who. And I like my coffee latte, and my metal industrial, progressive or *cough* "deathcore", thank-you. :<I almost got this signed by DragonForce at the gig last night ... but I chickened out and got them to sign my ticket stub instead. XB *happy, happy, happy*!
Inks on paper, PS7 ... 3 or four days on and off.

DragonForce are an awesome band live ... I've heard that they used to be a lot better, but they were good when I saw them anyway! My biggest claim to fame is that I have touched Herman Li's hair.

Ah, pretty. I like his eyes the most, although his hair comes pretty close. Great sepia tones and various specular highlights. Looks excellent. I can see why you're proud.

I do think maybe you send send a nice print of it to the band that inspired the piece and ask THEM to sign it! And include a pre-paid envelope with it so they can send it BACK! XD

Never really listened to Mindless Self Indulgence, but any type of music that can help inspire interesting looking art is good enough for me.
This is an interesting combination of really dark colors here that I really like. Your shading for hair is especially good as ever. I love the expression, which seems kind of...I don't know...like he's going to rip someone's head off or something. Aha. That eye is pretty scary, seeing as it's blue and stands out to the rest of the image.
So I take it he's drooling black coffee? Yummy.
I really can't think of any critique for such a simple image. On the other hand, I wish I could draw noses like you can.

We got to meet them! D: We were at the very front riiight up against the railings (getting people to wait outside four hours early at the very front of the queue and shoving in half an hour beforehand, and someone asked up if we wanted to go to the aftershow party ... o_o; So we said YES, and got VIP passes, and ... I touched Herman's hair. x_x Legend. And Sam broke my pen, argh.
Yeah, that was exciting.
