Description
3rd in a series of 4. They were meant to be a mixture of sort of alternative fashions/sub-cultures, but ended up just being "goff, goff, goff, NURSE"!Random character ... not quite so keen on how this one turned out. Vampire!LOL. This series is going to be available in print at May's London Expo, as well as in 1inch badge form, and possibly bookmark form, providing I don't come up with better small designs before, oh, next week.
Inked outlines and PhotoShop ... textures are a mix between my own and by ~briteshine .
(I'm uploading these in reverse order so that they'll read properly from my front page, in case anyone's curious.)

I got a print at the expo! And then I lost it when I got home. And then I found it again! Anyhoo, it's excellent.

To be honest, PhotoShop is a bit of a pain to get used to, but once you've learnt some of the basic stuff, it's actually very quick to work with, quite simple once you get used to it! ^_^ It's a lot easier to work with if you can manage to get access to a tablet (mine's the cheapest Wacom kind, a Volito2, cost me about £25 on Amazon ) and can memorise a few keyboard shortcuts for moving about in it quickly - things like holding down the spacebar to move about or the alt key to pick up colour - though those aren't essential. Depending upon how you want your finished work to look, just learning a few basic things like knowing what different layer modes do and how to control how the brushes work can sometimes be all you need in the program. For these prints I used a reeeeally simple method, all it needed was a bit of knowledge on layer transparency, plus a bit of patience with the pen tool and some flood-fills.
At Expo~ ... did sell a few more, though didn't sell out or anything, by a long-shot! It was great fun though! ^__^ I don't know yet whether I'll be able to make Telford or October's Expos, though ... I really want to, but I live up in Scotland, so it's a bit of a treck! Bah. I've got a couple of comic/manga ideas in the making that I'm hoping might maybe make it to completion by one or the other, though!
If you feel confident enough to sell your own work, it is great fun to do. It's quite hard work, but worth it ... and we really do need to give all the support we can to UK artists here! So good luck with that idea! (Wow, and you were talking about an essay? )

Ooooh wow, thank-you so much!! ^___^ I was wondering whether I should have given out a website name somewhere at Expo ... maybe it wasn't needed! lol
I'm so glad that you liked these that much!
