Sorry, don't mind me! Hey there, I was wondering (your tease you just released got me going back through some of these), are we gonna find out in later chapters what "interesting things" Mimir saw in Rick's mind?

I would say it's like a very hard workout where you press your body to your limit and beyond.

Is the page title a subtle reference to that deleted song from "Beauty and the Beast"? (the original animated version)

Hehe, yeah, kind of.
I actually hear Human again first in the broadway version - but it was original planned in the animated version I think, just dropped for time.

Hm, I've seen the stage show version, and I don't recall it being in the one I saw. I find it odd that they would cut it from the original due to time as the movie wasn't even that long (1 hour 24 minutes). Unless you mean production time. Granted, it was reincorporated for a later release. I suppose it sounded nice enough, but it was ultimately pretty superfluous. The live-action remake, however was much longer (2 hours 9 minutes), so I can completely understand it not being used in that version.

I recall just from bonus materials that they said it was do to time. I guess it's both production time and time of the movie. Remember, this was is in 1991 - movies beyond 2 hours was crazy. And it's something about not boring the audience. I see it my self, I accept a lot more when it's theater, not the same with a movie.
In the Lion King Broadway production they included a lot of songs that were not used in the movie and even wrote some new once to.
Wiki:
"Human Again" is a song originally written for, deleted from, and later restored to the 1991 Disney animated musical Beauty and the Beast . With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman , "Human Again" was replaced during production of the original 1991 version of the film by "Something There ", but retained and revised by Menken and new lyricist Tim Rice for the 1994 stage musical adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

Um, there were a metric ton of movies made before 1991 that ran for more than two hours (if we're talking live-action). Granted, it's extremely rare for an animated picture (outside of anime) to run for more than two hours, but Beauty and the Beast didn't even reach 90 minutes.
It makes sense that the play version of The Lion King would be longer. They're not working under the constraints of an animation budget. The original Lion King film from the 90s ran for 1 hour 28 minutes. I will say one common trend amongst the Disney live-action remakes has been that they've all been significantly longer than their original incarnations. Regardless, of how you feel about their overall quality, it's clear that the extra time is going toward further fleshing out of the characters and the world in which they live. We live in a day and age where a lot more is possible in the medium of film, and I wholeheartedly welcome the longer running times if they're being put to good use.
I'm looking to seeing how the Lion King remake turns out, as well as Aladdin, Mulan, and whatever other property Disney wants to bring back in the future. Sorry if I went off on a tangent there. I do understand why things have to be cut sometimes, but a longer running can definitely work to a film's benefit if the content justifies it.

I was referring to cartoons, but also movies at the time. Most movies in the 80's and 90's was under the 2 hour mark. I say most movies. Grand movies was usually longer- and yes I'm well aware it was bunch of movies beyond 2 and 3 hours back in the 50's and 80's for that matter. But "regular" movies was right under 2 hours at that time. It's almost as it kind of goes in wave of trend.
I actually found and article the back up what I'm talking about: www.businessinsider.com/are-mo…
I guess the reason I'm a bit focused on this is that ever since LOTR it seems the studios been thinking that a great movie HAS to be longer then two hours to be great. The worst example of this is the hobbit movies. They stretched out to three movies all 2,5 hours long. The first was great, the second was okay, the third I got bored under the battle scenes. I heard a rumor that it original was suppose to be two movies - the first following the plot of Bilbo Bagging there and back again, then the second movie was to be about Gandalfs journey to find the Necromancer.
Back to cartoons of the 90's and the song that was cut out. I believe it's for time and Disney made their movies foremost for children, I think they did not want their movies to be to long. The theatrical release of beauty and the beast and Lion King was perfect pased for me, I did not need the extra scenes they added(fun they did, but I did not need them).
Longer runtime do indeed give better time to flesh out characters. Unfortunately many waste that extra time.
I'm unsure if I'm going to see the remakes, at least not in Cinemas. But I have a daugther and a son on the way so most likely I will XD
No problem by the way. I had to check my facts that I was not totally wrong

Yes, it's hard. It's a bit like when you take a jogg for the first time in a decade without warming up and jogs for 3 miles.

I always think of it like flexing or holding a pose for a long time. After a while it can become tiring.
