Just figured out what the symbol means! It's supposed to represent a singularity in its gravity well! It was a warning sign!
And shouldn't they both be dead from the level of gamma rays that this is putting off especially if the accretion disk is glowing blue?

Very good! I hoped someone would notice and figure it out
From what I have read, the radiation and "sun" winds coming from a black hole are very strong and deadly, but also that it comes in bursts and are very irregular, so there are safe moments. The ground would be heavily radiated, but Rick and Mistel are in and near by an Hulder facility which is partly shielded by the mountain and a shield set up by the Hulders that renew it self on the energy around it. Though, it wont shield them from what's to come....next page on Monday!

Dead Star, aka a Black Hole?
Wouldn't that kill them or already get sucked in, because even an itty bitty dot, they will get sucked in because black holes are super strong and dangerous.

A solar system around a black hole is plausible as far as we know. How it would form is still being discussed. Living on a planet near by would not be a good idea, but the radiation would come in waves. Here is an article if you want to read www.newscientist.com/article/2…

Plus black holes slowly wear away over time from Hawking Radiation, unless they are constantly supplied with atomic energy. A black hole of that size could only last a few minutes before collapsing into nothing, but the radiation released from its collapse can still be deadly.
