Some of you may remember this, but a few months after Godzilla 2014 was released in theaters I made this short little comic about something I noticed between Godzilla and the Mutos. The comic speaks for itself but this did provide for some fun little characterization with Godzilla that I managed to make good use of for a bunch of derpy ass Godzilla comics.And eventually that's how I got some level of 'internet fame' with my half-assed doodles that eventually became known as "Godzilla Saves the Day!" comics.
What does that have to do with today, you might ask?
Well its been 5 years later and now we have King of the Monsters to enjoy. Meaning a new film with creatures and some canon material to implement into the comics ... and something to further prove my point on why I have them act the way they do.
So now I give you the sequel that nobody asked for, and I hope you enjoy

According to Mike Dougherty, the reason larval Mothra was so cranky was because none of the fairy twins were there. One of the Chen twins was present when she emerged as an imago PLUS she had to go save Godzilla, so she was calm and friendly.

well the director in an interview said he is onboard with, but didn't have a way to explain it in this movie, the idea that Mothra has a genetic memory so every Mothra is the same Mothra being reborn in a sense.

Yep, it is a bit wonky in older movies where the adult and larva overlap sometimes shortly before the adult form dies. But in general she is an insect goddess not just a giant mutated creature.
