Description
SPOILERS!! LOOK AWAY IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE FILM YET!!ok when you watch the trailer for the new Godzilla, they make it look like the government has been covering his tracks whenever he attacks, and that he would finally be exposed when its time to fight the new monster, but in the movie the destruction and cover up mainly goes to the Mutos who destroy everything and eat everything, meanwhile a bunch of ships and scientists follow him around like a whale migrating
i made a post on tumblr which got so popular in just 24 hours that inspired me to make the post into a short comic about the two different monsters in the new Godzilla film ; u ;
and i gotta say it was pretty successful, the new post with the comic was more popular than the original, and im pretty proud of myself for finally getting something super popular on tumblr where most of my stuff never gets noticed
hope you enjoy, see Godzilla in theaters everywhere now playing
i do not own Godzilla or the Mutos, Godzilla belongs to Toho studios and the Mutos belong to Garreth Edwards

Man, I'm feeling pretty prophetic right now - one of the main characters in King of the Monsters holds a grudge against Godzilla for this exact reason!

ok yeah but the point is that with Godzilla, a lot of what he did was pretty accidental, and yeah it was tragic for lots of people, but he didnt do any deliberate damage like the Mutos did, the female in Vegas grabbed that Eiffel tower and slam dunked it into the streets and the male was constantly using his EMP attack to send fighter planes crashing to the ground, all Godzilla did was trip on a few things and then calmly walk back to the ocean when everything was done
(but you're right about the Golden Gate Bridge, i'm not sure why he grabbed onto the bridge, but at least he blocked the missiles for a moment when he rose up)

The male's e.m.p was it communicating with the female. The Mutos really didn't give a shit and neither did Godzilla. Some times bigger animals try to be more careful around smaller ones and Godzilla did just that.

the Muto's e.m.p. was a communication device? to me there were times when it seemed they would be used as attacks, they made the Mutos feel like the greater of two evils in a world of giant monsters so thats probably why i made them look like a couple of dicks

In my oinion I think it was to either hold it up for a moment, or to keep himself from being knocked over by say the missles. Although the latter is highly unlikely as well.

ehh it hard to say really, Godzilla did appear to be evolved enough to make gestures and move his arms almost in a way that a person would, maybe just something he picked up from somewhere and learned to use little tricks like that, the producers said they wanted to humanize him without forgetting the's still a giant reptilian monster

I honestly didn't really notice the gestures in the movie.

well there were moments where he would make a fist before he stomps on the Muto where most other bipedal animals wouldnt normally do, or the way he handled the Muto's jaw before and after he blasted it's throat, normally i've only seen apes and monkeys use gestures like that in attack mode

Still, I can imagine at least some humans saying he's no better than the MUTOs...

well actually that's the point of him being an anti-hero, cus Garreth said he wanted Godzilla to behave as if he had his own personal reasons for whatever he does and whoever he fights, and he might not even be aware that there are tiny people running around until they start shooting missiles, he also said that if Godzilla defeats a monster and we just happen to benefit from it, that's just a coincidence and he's just like "uh... ok then"
he's like that in lots of other Godzilla films too

Ah. Well, I've never liked anti-heroes very much, so I guess that explains my feelings about it Still, I wouldn't be surprised if, should a sequel happen, there are humans in it trying to find a means to destroy Godzilla. After all, it's in our nature to fear and hate what we cannot control.

yeah pretty much, in reality there is good, bad and neutral, but in human eyes we always wanna label things as good or bad, so you're probably right, the military will find ways to destroy him while there would be others who think "no he's a savior, we gotta help the environment to save his home, and save him too" and stuff

he's basically one big unofficial member of the Avengers, but then again they're saying he did a whole lot less damage than Superman did in Man of Steel

he was, wasnt he?
i'd also like to point out that when each monster makes eye contact with the soldier character, its different as well, with Godzilla it was like "im sorry .. i let you down" but with the Muto it was like "YOU SON OF A BITCH I'LL KILL YOU"
actually i should be making comic versions of these scenarios hahah xD

as for the sis thing, i agree but then again they're probably the type of animals that will breed with anything of the same species regardless of familial relations, my cousin has two pitbull siblings that were born a year apart and eventually had puppies kinda hard to be picky in a closed off environment hahah

he kinda was actually the male killed off both the parents of the soldier, the female destroyed half of vegas, and messed up the wifi for a ton of people within the range of the EMP blast xD
