Wicked tight drawing there, very tight rendering of the skeleton. Are you big into the Renaissance? I was for a bit, then felt it too controlled.

I love the idea of Renaissance. Style-wise, I just have much respect for it. Then you go to art school and see how off their anatomy really is!

For certain, yeah. But again, you have to remember the idea of the ideal, They were raising it to a new ideal, something above what was normal. Depends on if you're a gritty realist or not.

Do you much about the Medici? I did some skeletal stuff once...It was for anatomy class, we were studying the bones and I drew them. BTW your drawing is amazing, must have took you a while!

Thanks! The drawing did take longer than my usual being that it was larger than I normally work and I usually use flat planes of color
As for the Medici, I know that they were the ruling family in Florence and were major figures in bringing around the Renessance period. Then again, most of what I know comes from art history class and various Discovery channel programming...I love that show!
