Alright this was supposed to be just a simple reference sheet but I went ahead and went crazy with the background <.<

Anyway, this is my Merperson OC that I created for myself as well as for DizzyAlyx 's contest she has going on here: fav.me/dbp5z5y

Here is some info on this new boi

Name: Seth
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Type: Nocturnal with pointed ears and 4 ventral fins.
Speech Abilities: He can understand a couple human languages to a small degree but cannot speak them.
Ability: None
Personality: He's a good natured fellow despite his past and normally tries finding the light or amusing side of situations. He's relatively calm and quiet since he's not great at socializing but always gives an effort when around others of his kind. His curiosity can sometimes be a force to be reckoned with and he finds it hard to suppress.
Background: He lost his mother at a young age due to a creature attack and a few years later the grief got to his father who disappeared one day. Another female who was friends with his mother took him in until he matured then he became restless and started spending time here and there with different small groups of other Merpeople. He has yet to find a permanent place to stay but it doesn't bother him too much since he continues to meet new people and it helps with his sense of loneliness at times.
Likes: Exploring (maybe a bit too much, trouble finds him often), meeting new people, listening to stories, lounging on the ocean floor and watching the life around him
Dislikes: Being alone, predators, when others try digging too much into his past
Goals: Hopes to find a long term close friend or companion to get into trouble with
