hey my jounral look great like i wanted in firefox, but in IE the drawing of a leaf goes behind teh title of myjournal...is teher a way that i can put in my code that for IE i wanta differenet margin of padding for the journal title?

Very well put together. I havn't had much problems in relation to CSS and IE7, but FireFox is a pain, it won't display my backgorund

I'm in college at the moment. The CSS is simply
I think the image is .bmp and is a flowery background.
Now when i preview this in IE7 it's fine, but FF won't display it at all!

If the image is a .bmp, I would recommend saving it as one of the common web formats (gif, jpg, png). I prefer png or gif for simple images, but if your image is very detailed (like a photograph) you might want to use a jpg.
Next, try changing your CSS to something this:
body
{
background-image: url(path/to/image.png);
background-repeat: repeat;
}
Notice that you don't need quotes for the path.
Try this out and let me know if it works
