Description
This is a piece that I did for my good friend Tom Floyd, creator of the pulp webcomic character "Captain Spectre" ([link] ) because....he's just too freaking cool, and...I'm a member of the Lightning Legion!)P38 Lightnings are not only my favorite WWII aircraft, they're darned appropriate, don't you think?
Done with Copic markers, Microns and Photoshop.

I absolutely agree with you! I had the opportunity to talk to a fellow who taught flight training in them during WWII, and he said they flew like a dream, but were "cold as the dickens inside".

Thanks Graver! It took about two days, I think, including the re-draw of the Captain's body (the first one was....ugh!). I was reading the latest Captain Spectre webcomic by Tom Floyd and was just struck by inspiration. Tom's a great guy, by the way. Check him out!
