I noticed you used a 30 seconds exposure time. What is a ND filter? I'm kind of new to photography...

I used ND8 filter for that. it was after sunset so there wasn't too much light around.

You're offering me a wonderful strolling opportunity once again, I love this. The smoothness, it's like fog is rising and making the air feel damp and a bit chilly. I also like the blended colours of the sky, it is like a painting. This photo wouldn't work without the rocks though, they create such an amazing contrast and give that something to the photo. Great work, I have to say.
But did you really use a shutter speed of 30 seconds? That's pretty long.. So if I may ask how you did it? Might be a stupid question but I hope you don't mind.

the long exposure was thanks to the tripod, it's really not that complecated
The rocks give your eyes something to hang on to, an anchor in the photo.

Well, it depends a bit where in Finland you happen to live but then if you think of we actually have quite a many of nice places to photograph. You just need to look for them.
