I thought I'd have some fun and reinvent one of my favorite art pieces, "Dazzling Display," from earlier this year. I made a mistake, however, when coloring and misjudged the width of the color bands! I did not intend to go through the whole rainbow, but I like it.Also thought it was fitting for June. Not my intention, but fitting.

I am constantly amazed by the amount of details you put into your work and this one again is superb. The key feature I noticed in this work that I specifically love is how the colour gradually changes from purple to green. The colours are not transitioning through a blend but by the individual scale which is identified by a hard brown line. The approach of a uneven colouring (outside of the box and not evenly spread) really presents the texture of the scale from afar and linkes to wards the blue eyes and eye brows
There is one thing I wonder though. Would it look better if the skin and wrinkle was in a greenish blue? With how colourful the image is the white seemsto a little bit of a standout for me. all else, another amazing work.

After drawing this piece I had the same idea! Green skin would have looked far superior, in my opinion.

I'm quite impressed by how extensively intricate this looks! Your dedication to this artwork has resulted in a visually appealing and colorful design; I'd definitely give you an A+ for effort! There seems to be minimal problems with the "crystals," as all seem to be in harmony with the suggested light source on the right. Your mistake with the color band isn't a huge problem, but this would still appear more balanced and appealing if they possessed equal widths. Something that sort of bothers the work's balance, at least to me, is how the color band nearest to the eye appears to have colors that have a more dramatic color variation compared to the other bands. This still works though, as the eye is well-fit with the color discord.
What would make this piece much more interesting is adding something that suggests what entity the eye belongs to. It looks like a scaly creature--probably a dinosaur because of the eye's shape and dry skin texture. Perhaps you should add a contour for the crystals. That way, the eye would look less out of place. Needless to say that I'm not suggesting that it is out of place.
The eye may require a more critical lens for detail, as the highlight may need to be brighter, maybe even completely white if you desire color diversity. Lastly, I think you should suggest a texture for the "eyelashes." Right now, it seems difficult to interpret the texture of the lashes, as they look a bit "plasticy" to me. And the eyelashes also don't seem to be smoothly arranged, but I'll assume you were going for that as it suggests discord.
