Description I've been having a bit of fun with my brightest colored pencils as of late, if you haven't noticed! This one was fun, full of intricate details and mini-scenes. Try and see if you can find everything on the below list:

(1) Puff the Not-So-Magic-Dragon
(2) My Signature (A dragon shaped like an S)
(3) Impossible Shapes X2
(4) Smiley Flower
(5) Ocean Scenes X2
(6) Butterflies X4
(7) Leaf Dragons X3
(8) Birbs X2
(9) Dragon Eye
(10) Steampunk Dragon Eyes X2
(11) Ladybug
(12) Ant
(13) Yin-Yang
(14) Striped Orbs X3

I really struggled with the outlining on this one (still learning how to best use India ink) but I'm generally pleased. What do you think?

Hello! I'm commenting for ProjectComment 's contest.

I see how you did a good work, especially the colours on the twisted trees. Drawing the trees would be fun, I like how it came out. Yes, those orbs, leaves, flowers, and other animals such as dragons, insects and birds. They look so cute, I think. Sadly, I haven't be good at drawing dragons, but to do that is to practice to do better. You have drawn this one very good, and I love how the rainbow colours look like. Awesome!

I would also draw some fantastic abstract fantasy artworks like this one. That would be awesome too. In my opinion, the rainbow colours will look more and more, and I recommend myself to do abstract artworks. Well, mostly watercolur I would do. By the way, I also want to draw orbs like this one to find more inspiration. I love orbs too. And it reminds me of the fantasy world. I always love making fantasy arts to be inspired of.

So, again, you did a good work. I would like to find more inspiration to do my own. You said it was fun, so it is, haha. I can understand you have a very, very great talent, and this artwork is imaginative, excellent, beautiful, inspiring and, not least, always colourful. Keep it up!

Hello, commenting on behave of ProjectComment ´s Big comment contest.

My first reaction was "wow". This is really colourful and abstract drawing and I like it. After looking at it for a moment longer, it appears surprisingly detailed. There are really many motives to be found, which I like. It can be viewed as a "game" of spotting - who can spot the most details? Who can find all things on the list? It´s fun and original way of bringing attention to this kind of abstract drawing. Well done.

What I also like is that hidden motives are drawn in detailed and thoughtful fashion. For example, the violet butterfly in left lover quadrant has interesting shape and even dots on its wings and (forgive my English) interesting things on its head.

Also, I like that the colours are blended very well, flowing fluidly from one colour into another. Idea for possible improvement here: I noticed that the left part of the drawing contains visibly more blue and violet, while the right part has the colours distributed more evenly. Personally, I prefer even distribution. I think that it looks more random and that it´s more fitting for an abstract drawing.

PS: I tried to find everything and I really loved all the dragons and leaves. Just a small question: (8) birbs - isn´t that a typo? Shouldn´t it be "birds"?

Thank you for your comment! I appreciate it!

The spelling of Bird was intentionally spelled Birb, for some reason it's intentionally misspelled on mainstream media and it kinda stick in my family.

You´re welcome.

I wasn´t sure if it was intentional, thanks for explaining.

This is crazy in all the best ways! The eye just keeps traveling around and loops back again. Nicely done.

Hi! I found this through ProjectComment.

This seems like the sort of a thing used to decorate the back cover of a notebook. I was rather surprised to see such a long list of objects to spot in the description because when I first looked at this, my brain just registered the general shape of the pattern and didn't focus on the bubbles enough to register that they each have a unique object inside. The composition is spread quite evenly without many areas of higher density, but I'm noticing some sort of a path to follow in the purple/pink vines on the middle-left that creates some upwards flow.

The ink lines look a bit stiff but I think that's something that gets better with practice. If you draw a lot, you can learn to keep your hand steady without tensing the muscles too much.

With tentacle-like structures like these, the main thing to look out for is keeping the thickness consistent, so that when something comes "up", like that blue to purple leafy tentacle on the bottom left, it would bulge where it crosses over the red/orange tentacle, creating an illusion of a three-dimensional object. When the width of an object varies without consistency, it creates no illusion of depth because there are no indications of perspective or the vines bulging like they had mass. When the blue/purple vine gets wider before it goes under the yellow-orange one, it creates an impression that it was rolled flat from the thick, round form that it has in the area where the leaves grow out of it. Another thing to watch out for is that the continuity lines up, so that it doesn't look like an outline goes underneath another object and comes out slightly displaced on the other side.

There are some areas of neat lines like the red area on the top left, the reddish purple fork above the blue vine down from there and the yellow-green area in the middle. Those seem the most neatly executed and the width remains the most consistent. I also like the purple tentacle that I discussed in the previous paragraph, even with the flattened part, because it looks balanced and harmonious and the way the leaves curve in different directions makes it look lively and unpredictable, even when the stems are spaced at an even interval.

Thanks for the feedback! This really helped!

The intention of this piece was to create a fun, vibrent patterm. I didn't even think about adding depth to the vines! Thanks for giving me the idea, I will deninately expand upon that soon.

It's kinda funny that some parts already show hints of depth, even without you even thinking about it actively. It will be interesting to see what you'll come up next if you decide to apply it consciously.

I'm certainly willing to try! This isn't the first place a suggestion like that has surfaced. Should be fun!
