The 2nd Panzer Corps had swept through the small Russian village and left a swath of destruction as they blasted their way towards the next line of Soviet defense. Mop up was left to infantry units trailing behind the tanks. One platoon of which lingered behind the advance with a very specific mission...

Something that had once slept buried underneath the steppes was stirring again - and waking things up that should have stayed dead.

All or nothing, Serilda couldn't afford to lose this fight. Rallying what soldiers she had left for one final push to cut through the swath of undead, there was a small chance the relic in the ruins of the old church could be sealed...

The fight was costly indeed, and records of what really happened on that day have been lost or buried in history...
