Description
The northern crossroad was held by an ad hoc infantry group of about 20 soldiers supported by an assault gun.

At daybreak the position was assaulted by a full strength company of fresh Cydanian shock troops, supported by mortar fire and 5 medium tanks.

The Attraxians exacted a heavy toll, the assault gun knocking out 4 of the attacking tanks, but the assault gun crew was inexperienced (despite being well trained) and fled their vehicle in panic after sustaining crippling hits to the tracks and transmission. The Landsers resisted fiercely but were running low on ammunition and were cut down to only a handful of soldiers. An escape attempt could be made, but the remaining tank was a serious threat.

Riko and her remaining CrossBolt veterans would only have one chance to escape - wait until the tank was within spitting distance and pray that their one remaining panzerfaust would find it's mark.

This was inspired by a game of Close Combat: Gateway To Caen. I had a group of grenadiers get absolutely mauled by 5 Sherman tanks (one a Firefly). At the last possible second, through a window, at no more than 10 meters away my Zugtruppe rallied and fired their last panzerfaust at the remaining tank that was wrecking my teams shit. It connected and I physically jumped out of my chair and shouted very loudly. I've got something like 300 hours in this game and have only had a panzerfaust successfully kill a tank about 6 times. It really is sort of a last ditch suicide weapon considering how close you have to get to the enemy.
