This base has been an on and off again project of mine to create profile images of my myriad of OCs to be used in the creation of family trees (which I really haven't done because I keep changing relations around and getting more characters). I've also included the roughs for those interested in seeing WIP's (I really like seeing what people started with).

With This Free To Use Base, You can

Tips for using this Base
The general adult versions here are about 100 by 100 pixels, however more extreme modifications may affect the desired length of the bars, shown at the bottom in the differing shaded of blue to separate out generations. I recommend around 150 to 170 pixels between color or generation shifts, I've found that smaller characters look a little odd when compared to the larger ones past this size through the use of symbols and add-ons tend to cover this as while where larger sizes might be preferred. One could also use the color shifts to indicate years with older characters sitting higher then others.I tend to use 3 pixel solid black lines to indicate blood relations with broken or dashed lines indicating adoption due to the color shifts for generations though if less vibrant colors are used differing line colors might be more attractive.
If you do not have a key stating what things mean in the chart itself I strongly recommend putting some additional information in the description.

I'm tentatively using red as official-known mateship, gold as suspected and silver as unknown/unlawful.
Gender Symbols
Traditional Male and Female symbols with a circle so you can construct your own, I don't know if there's a traditional Non-binary one.
My Symbols also serve as another form of status
Clan Symbols
Solid for one's own modifications and the origional clans have also been made, I tried.
