Description
FACE OFF!I like this photo because it is almost like yin and yang, white and dark. They were actually arguing when I snapped this picture. After battling with foam weapons in florida sun and heat in full armor and makeup, both dripping with sweat and gasping, they were really in character.
of course I used my movie and circus makeup skills, so THeir makeup was FANTASTIC, and did not sweat off in the fight... but they had natural sweat over their makeup and the makeup itself was perfect! (ask me how)
what you see is not imperfect makeup, it is sweat from 98* florida august noon sun and full leather armor and wigs/makeup, not imperfect makeup. (that is circus grade makeup, it does not sweat off.)

What makeup do you use? I live in Hell's antichamber also know as North West Louisiana. July and August here were over 100 every day with god awful humidity.

he's a sweaty boy with sensitive skin, in Florida heat...
so I used "no Sweat" by Proface,
Then the Proface series Clown Black "Gease paint" if you will~
The Pro Face Setting Powder (I think Ben Nye works Best- But pro Face works good too for Neutra set press powder)
THen Final seal spray.
I purchased my Proface from this web page:

shipping was fast and the prices were good!

Thanks! I will try the Proface. I have never used their makeup. I have always used Ben Nye. I noticed in my makeup test that the charcoal powder came off on the wig and didn't wash out well, even with oxi-clean. If it stood up to Florida heat it should withstand Louisiana and Texas.

God, your guy's costumes always look fantastic. The next thing that always comes to mind is 'holy hell you guys must be roasting!'

They are both wearing my costumes. (I played dress up with my friends)
yes they were both roasting, that's why afterwards it was TGI-Fridays, And of course I dunked that Dark elf in a shower. (had to go in and supervise, lest he get dark elf cooties all over my white shower walls...) <--best part of being a dark elf is the clean up!

That's amazing! Is it the clown ben-nye make up? I tried it for D*Con but didn't know if I got enough on.

I use many types of clown makeup, ben-nye, mehron, Proface (new fav) Mac-pro (starting to love this one) and of course Kryolan. ^.^ always love Nen-Nye as my first and original... but Mehron and Proface changed their stuff and Proface has some GOOD stuff!

Actually, He breaks out too.
I used Proface on him. The proface black, with the proface netra set, and final seal, Mehron diamond dust in the royal ebon purple, and highlights with ben nye lumier, Final seal (of course)
Eye brows were white Paradise with Liqui-set.
Ears woochie with black liquitex.
next time I might "No sweat" spray him before i start the make up. (No sweat is an make up antiperspirant)
For his tiger makeup I used the MAC Pro makeup series.
I am having a ton of trouble finding ben nye charcoal powder here. It's like no one wants to carry it, or all the stores online are always sold out.

My local "novelty" shop keeps it on hand. I can send you a link to there website.
and I take my statement back... I haven't tried that make-up method. it was the ben nye professionals make-up that made me break out.

Those are the moon elf ears I picked up while I was in germany at Conquest.
The Drow is wearing: Woochie's Werewolf ears , painted with Liquitex acrylic paint and powdered with Netraset to make them match the makeup.
