I must say, I absolutely love your vision of steampunk! I think people look a little too deep into Victorian eras and forget to dream of colors. (of course I still love those costumes, accurately portraying their time, but I also very much appreciate ingenuity.) But there seems to be so much life within this version of steampunk you have created and it looks like so much fun!

Thank you so much for your nice words. And yes, we use colourful fabrics. For the pilots we wanted plaid fabrics (because many of those old pictures shows it and it's so typical "english"). But only brown or dark blue fabrics looks a bit boring. and the other peaole of our group thougt the same (I love Issabella for her purple dress!)

Oh no! It wqas very easy! I had many feather (because of my Raven cosplay with lots of feathers). I used a hot glu pistol (easy but solid) the create a wing out of the feathers (glue them at the end) and then the spray. The same thing I did to make some little wings for our captain's cap (but his wings are golden)

Uhm...I really don't know what sparys are available at North america. Don't you have metallic effect spray for cars or PVC??? It's a german spray I used this one: [link]
